The Rivalry on the gridiron between The Ohio State University and the University of Michigan is the "greatest rivalry in all of sport". But, even two bitter foes can come together for a cause bigger than The Game -- beating cancer.
For every The Rivalry shirt sold, a portion of the sales will be donated in purchaser's name to fight cancer.
-Scarlet and Grey shirt proceeds benefit the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research.
-Maize and Blue shirt proceeds benefit the Rogel Cancer Center.
In 2003, undergraduates from both schools began The Rivalry Run philanthropy to beat cancer during The Game week in November. This year, the scheduled away team undergraduates from Michigan will begin with a commemorative game ball and run from Ann Arbor to exchange the ball with Ohio State undergraduates in Toledo - the cause of the 1835-1836 Michigan-Ohio War. The ball will then be carried into Columbus.
To date, The Rivalry Run has raised more than $684,000.
Show your team colors. Beat Blue. Beat Ohio. Beat Cancer.
